Air

The Fontanarossa International Airport in Catania is the nearest and convenient airport to Catania. It is connected by direct flights with the main Italian cities and with many European cities such as Muenich (by Lufthansa), Berlin (Air Berlin), London (British Airways)…

Bus

From the airport there is a bus (Alibus) to the downtown of Catania. The “Dusmet” bus stop (1860) is the nearest, less than 5 min walk from Museo Diocesano and Conference Venue. Tickets can be purchased at airport or directly on the bus and cost 4 €. The journey takes about 20 minutes. Buses typically leave every 25 minutes both weekdays and holidays. The bus stop is about a hundred meters to the right when exiting the airport.

Taxi

There are several Taxi companies operating inside the airport, applying different rates. The approximate cost of travel by taxi is 18 € with the company Radio Taxi Catania (phone: +39 095.88.33). The journey takes about 15 minutes. We recommend you to call upon your arrival. The taxi rank of Radio Taxi Catania is on the first Floor (at the departures). Other taxis can be found on the ground floor (at the arrivals).

Car

It is possible to rent a car at the parking lot in front of the airport. All major rental companies are present (Avis, Hertz, Maggiore, Auto Europe).
